The objective of Computer Science in Class IX is to introduce students to the fundamentals of computers and develop essential digital literacy skills. Students will learn about the basic components of a computer system, input and output devices, computer memory, storage devices, and units of memory. They will become familiar with the basic functions of an operating system and learn to manage files, folders, applications, and common Windows utilities. Students will also develop elementary word-processing skills using MS Word, including creating, editing, formatting, and printing documents. In addition, they will learn the fundamentals of creating presentations using MS PowerPoint, including slide design, images, animations, transitions, and multimedia elements. The course also provides opportunities for practical activities and project work.
By the end of Class IX, students should be able to:
