The objective of Computer Science in Class XII is to develop advanced practical and technical skills in operating systems, networking, web development, databases, programming, and Internet-based applications. Students will explore Linux and its command-line environment, file systems, shell commands, user administration, storage management, network security, and basic shell scripting. They will develop digital publishing skills using CorelDraw and learn to create graphics, edit images, and design materials such as logos and greeting cards. Students will also be introduced to server-side web programming using PHP and XHTML, including variables, data types, control structures, arrays, functions, forms, and sessions. A major component of the course focuses on relational databases and MySQL, where students will learn database concepts, SQL statements, keys, constraints, and database management. Students will further explore PL/SQL, including programming blocks, conditional statements, loops, triggers, and cursors. Finally, they will understand the role of technology in online services, e-commerce, banking, reservations, online marketing, customer support, and social networking.
