The objective of Computer Science in Class X is to strengthen students' digital literacy and introduce them to networking, Internet use, advanced documentation, and spreadsheet applications. Students will learn about different digital display technologies, printers, plotters, fax machines, and related devices. They will develop an understanding of computer networks, including LAN, MAN, WAN, and PAN, and become familiar with the Internet, web browsers, search engines, and e-mail. Students will further develop their MS Word skills by working with WordArt, images, tables, formatting tools, mail merge, and other advanced features. They will also learn to use MS Excel for organizing and analysing data, applying formulas and functions, creating tables and charts, and working with different types of cell references. Practical activities and project work will help students apply these skills to real-world situations.
